WeatherCall GPS also provides notification when cloud-to-ground lightning strikes are detected within 10 miles of your location. WeatherCall GPS can also be used to detect unauthorized or unexpected movement of your vehicle. To activate this feature touch the Security Service button on the main menu. When Security Service is Active, WeatherCall GPS is monitoring the GPS reports from your tracking device. If a location change is reported, WeatherCall GPS will immediately notify you with a text and email message. You will receive additional text and email message reports once an hour until you disable the Security Service. 

WeatherCall GPS is an internet-based service. It is always ON and checking the weather at your current location. You do not have to constantly check a phone app, WeatherCall GPS is always on duty. You will be notified via a phone call or text when the Weather at your location changes. 

WeatherCall GPS monitors the health of the GPS unit to ensure your location is being reported. These health checks consist of:

• Battery Voltage: Each time the unit reports its location, the report also includes the battery voltage. If the voltage is lower than 4.6 volts, you are notified via email that the battery should be replaced soon. These notifications continue once a day until you replace the batteries.
• 24-Hour Reports: If the GPS Unit is stationary, it will report its location every 24 hours. If the Unit does NOT report at least once every 24 hours, you will be notified via email. These notifications will continue once a day until a location report from the GPS unit is received. Please NOTE: A failure of the unit to report its location does NOT mean device failure. Other reasons could be a location in a remote area where there is no mobile phone network, or the unit is blocked by a local obstruction such as being parked inside a metal or concrete building that would block GPS satellite signals or cellular data radio signals.
